Zack Braff tweeting about Chris Brown
My favorite opinion regarding the whole Chris Brown situation came from D.L. Hughley. He was doing stand up and he addressed the situation basically saying that while he fucked up terribly. He deserves forgiveness. He then proceeded to bring up the typical response to that with “You’d be mad if that was your daughter” and answered with “Yes. But I wouldn’t want my son to be judged for the rest of his life off some shit he did when he was 19.” I mean I was never really a Chris Brown fan (still ain’t) but I can agree with this. Chris is a young man. Even younger when he fucked up. Still a teenager. But I feel as if the woman he wronged was able to open up and forgive him then we all should be able to too. It’s such a tough subject, though.
I just don’t see why the fuck we are still talking about it and not doing anything about it. WOMEN AND MEN ARE BEAT EVERY FUCKING DAY. we’re not doing anything about their lives. we’re just concerned for Chris fucking Brown and Rihanna. if she was that butt hurt over it, she would have stood up against beaten women/men and not have gotten back with Chris, friend or boyfriend, whatever the fuck they are. but she didn’t. my mom works for the YWCA and I see beat women all the time, they’re not how Rihanna acted at all. they’re very protective, unforgiving and definitely make an attempt to get their word out there. I liked his music, now it’s not so great. but I didn’t see him any less of AN ARTIST because of his PERSONAL LIFE. can we not move on? they clearly did. he’s not the only one in the world to have beaten a woman, so please, shut the fuck up and do something about it instead of BITCH ABOUT IT ON SOCIAL NETWORKS.
also: if it were the other way around, she beat him, we wouldn’t still be talking about it. she would be seen as “protecting herself,” or some stupid shit.
